As partners in learning, parents and teachers need to give clear messages to students regarding the best choices for their education. Not only do students need to choose the appropriate courses for post-secondary education, they also need a well-rounded and complete program of studies. Educational research shows that students who are fully engaged are more successful in their academic studies.
Therefore, all Grade 10 students at Queen Elizabeth are enrolled in a full program with a minimum of 40 credits. All Grade 11 and Grade 12 students are expected to enroll in a minimum of 35 credits. This ensures that they will have opportunities to explore the wide range of complimentary courses that are available. These courses can often help young people to develop skills and interests that will stay with them throughout their adult life. We are committed to providing the best educational environment for our students to graduate as citizens of character and enjoy life-long learning.
